Al Qudra Cycling Track β Complete Guide for Beginners 2026
Al Qudra is the most iconic cycling destination in the UAE β and for good reason. WinRider, the best Online Bicycle Shop in Dubai, UAE, brings you the definitive 2026 guide: access, parking, water, wildlife, weather and what bike to ride.

Overview
Al Qudra is a 86 km loop (with 18, 20, 30, 50 and 64 km shorter options) of perfectly maintained tarmac through the desert south of Dubai. Smooth surface, dedicated cycling lane, multiple water stations and breathtaking desert scenery.
How to Get There
Located ~50 km south of downtown Dubai. Take Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) β exit toward Al Qudra Lakes β Cycle Hub. Free parking available at the Cycle Hub and at multiple roadside parking areas.
Best Times to Ride
- Winter (OctβMar): all-day riding possible. Sunrise rides are spectacular.
- Summer (AprβSep): ride before 7 AM or after 7 PM only. Track is open 24/7.
Facilities
- Water stations: every 10 km along the loop
- Toilets: at the Cycle Hub and main rest stops
- Bike rental: available at the Cycle Hub
- CafΓ©s: Cycle Bistro and several food trucks at the Hub
Wildlife to Spot
Al Qudra Lakes (just off the track) host pink flamingos in winter. You may also see Arabian oryx, gazelles, camels and over 130 bird species. Always slow down for wildlife.
What Bike to Ride
The track is paved, so any road or gravel bike works. We recommend a gravel bike like the 3T Exploro Ultra β it''s fast on the tarmac and lets you explore the gravel detours toward Bab Al Shams.
What to Bring
- Helmet (mandatory)
- 2 bottles minimum (3 in summer)
- Sunscreen SPF 50+
- Spare tube + repair kit
- Mobile phone with offline map
